wild baskets series
This 7 part series meets once a month for an immersive dive into basket making through the seasons. Our learning will cover reading the landscape for basketry materials, harvesting, processing and preparing plants into workable material and exploring different techniques of basket making. We will create a collection of wild and beautiful baskets, deepening our connections to ourselves, the earth and each other.
Projects include: bark containers, cordage with soft fibers, woven bark baskets, coiling with grasses, ribbed baskets, twining and diagonal plaiting. Note that depending on the project, not all baskets will be completed within the day and may require you to finish at home or at an open studio.

Class meets from 10-5 on Sundays.
2026 Dates: April 5, May 3, June 7, July 5, Aug 2, September 13, October 11
